A Chesapeake native, Chef Raymond combines his East Coast upbringing with his Italian heritage to create fresh, locally sourced dishes. Abiding by a deceptively simple approach, he has a deep-rooted respect for raw ingredients and works carefully to enhance the natural flavor in these dishes. Whether it is the classic Crab Cake, the fresh fish of the day, or the seasonal Mediterranean – style soups, our Washington DC restaurant provides an authentic reflection of the flavors of the Mid-Atlantic. Bistro 525 is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our breakfast features a selection of two buffets, an elaborate hot breakfast buffet and a continental breakfast buffet that always includes a smoked fish. There are also a variety of breakfast entrees to choose from on our regular breakfast menu, including specialty dishes such as Eggs Chesapeake Benedict and California Croissant.
The lunch menu at our Washington DC restaurant features homemade soups, an innovative variety of salads, hearty sandwiches, a Chef’s Choice pizza of the day, a fresh fish of the day, and popular Mid-Atlantic inspired entrees. Our House Angus Beef Burger topped with Smoked Maryland Bacon & Chapel Creamery Bay Blue Cheese served with Roasted Garlic Aioli Fries is a local favorite as well as the Charcoal Roasted Free Range Chicken served with Crabby Wild Rice (topped with lump meat crab) and grilled scallions. We also offer a hot lunch buffet daily. The lunch menu changes seasonally.
Our dinner menu features homemade soups, a light selection that includes appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, and a variety of fish and meat entrees. Cocoa Rubbed Hudson Valley Duck Breast, Grilled Roseda Farms New York Strip Steak, and Seared Chesapeake Rockfish are some of the most popular entrees. We will always feature a crab cake along with seasonal accompaniments. We also offer an in room dining menu.
